Do I get room & board?
No, room and board are not provided at our Driver Selection Karting Qualifiers.
Can I try out more than once?
Yes, if you do not qualify as one of the top finishers selected to continue on to the Final Driver Selection Event, you are able to come back to other selection events and try again
When is the final round of Driver Selection?
The Final Driver Selection Event will be held in the early 2011.
What kind of helmet & gear will I need for the Driver Selection karting events?
Drivers must provide their own SNELL-approved full face helmet. Drivers should also plan on bringing their own gear including driving suits, gloves, shoes, and neck restraints.
What if I am one of the top qualifiers?
As one of the top qualifiers, you will be invited to the Final Driver Selection Event to be held in early 2011. You will be trained and tested in driving, marketing, sponsorship development, media, and VW brand familiarization. Finalists/ Drivers chosen to move on
to the Final Driver Selection Event will need to pay their season fee by December 10, 2010.
Do I need karting experience to participate in the qualifiers?
No, applicants with little and no karting experience are more than welcome to attend our karting qualifiers. The day of testing is scored by individual times, improvement, and potential. Lack of experience will be taken into consideration when evaluating
performance.
Do I need to pay an additional entry fee for the Final Driver Selection Event?
No, if you are selected, there is no additional fee required to attend the Final Driver Selection Event.
What if I register and am not able to make the scheduled karting event?
If you register for Driver Selection Karting Qualifier and are unable to attend once we confirm your karting date, you are able to withdraw from participation with a full refund of your registration fee. Once you sign up, you have 5 business days to cancel your
registration for a full refund of $995. You also have the option to attend an alternative event date, if there is availability in the subsequent qualifier events.
