25 Drivers Ready To Compete For The Series Championship Starting April 23, 2010

HERNDON, Va., Feb. 10-- Volkswagen of America, Inc. is proud to announce the names of the 25 drivers who will compete in the 2010 Jetta TDI® Cup. The Volkswagen-operated spec racing series, now entering its third season, will take the green flag on its SCCA Pro Racing-sanctioned events beginning April 23 at Virginia International Raceway.

Belgium's Jan Heylen won the star-studded Performance Racing International/CKI All-Stars Karting Classic last night at the PRI Show in Orlando. The former Renault Eurocup and British Formula Ford Champion and IZOD IndyCar competitor had a stellar race meeting, winning pole and leading both the 25-lap pre-final and 40-lap feature race from flag-to-flag.

Volkswagen Announces 2010 Jetta TDI Cup Schedule

Schedule includes 10 races for young drivers

Herndon, VA (Dec. 3, 2009) - With the second successful season of the SCCA Pro Racing Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup in the rearview mirror, series officials have begun making preparations for the 2010 season. 

Today, Volkswagen announced the 10-race schedule for next year, which includes six of the circuits from the 2009 schedule and the series' first visit to Mexico.

VOLKSWAGEN JETTA CUP KARTING QUALIFIERS WELCOMES TEN MORE FINALISTS TO COMPETE 
AT FINAL DRIVER SELECTION EVENT

Ten additional finalists are selected to advance to the Final Driver Selection Event in Las Vegas, Nevada February 2010.

BOSTON, Mass. – The third karting qualifier of the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup was held on Saturday, November 14th, despite heavy rain and windy weather conditions. Seventeen drivers from all over the United States and Mexico competed in four timed sessions on CRG Kali Karts with Rotax engines at F1 Outdoor in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. The ten finalists chosen on November 14th will now move on to compete at the Final Driver Selection event in Las Vegas in February, 2010. The results of that event will decide the field of 25 drivers for the 2010 season of the VW Jetta TDI Cup.

Winner penalized after the race but retains Championship lead

Utah’s Miller Motorsports Park to host Round 3 on the series circuit

HERNDON, Va. — After previously releasing details on nine of the ten events for the 2009 Jetta TDI Cup season, Volkswagen of America, Inc. has now announced the final addition of Miller Motorsports Park to the list of venues that will host its SCCA Pro Racing-sanctioned events. The Salt Lake City track will host Round 3, May 15-17.
